the oak trunks were rescued from being burnt during the construction of a minor road. unfortunately, it was already too late to rescue the oak tree. connected by a stainless steel chain, the trunks were suspended from a 80-year-old oak tree. 

in the past 25 years, forests shrank by 1.3 million square km | an area bigger than the size of south africa. a precious resource destroyed while climate change is the greatest existential threat facing mankind at the present.
